 Ethanol Industry Investment Opportunities and Project Financing for Lenders, Project Developers, and Investment Advisors

Ethanol plant investors will be asking lenders to review their financing options. In many cases, lenders have little experience in the ethanol industry, which makes it difficult to decide about proposed projects. This seminar will provide lenders an opportunity to get up to speed and meet with other lenders who have already financed ethanol projects.

Seminar Chairman: Jeff Kistner

Vice President of Project Finance, BBI International  

Jeff Kistner is Vice President of Project Finance for BBI International and focuses on financial structuring, placement and management for renewable energy projects.

Kistner brings 19 years of banking experience to this position, with his immediate past position as Business Development Officer for CoBank, one of the largest lenders to the renewable fuels industry.
 
While at CoBank, he was part of a renewable fuels team that had 22 ethanol plants in the loan portfolio and in 2004 had 7 ethanol plants under construction.  During Kistner’s years as a lender, he reviewed over 40 ethanol proposals in consideration to lend.
 
Since 2005, the BBI Development team has successfully reached financial closure on 2 projects, one in Colorado and the other in Kansas.  In addition the team has 10 projects under development contract and has financially advised over 6 projects to assist in seeking debt.
 
Kistner is a native of Nebraska, in the United States. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska and his MBA in Finance from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
